The week we rented a car

Artificial lake of Hoover Dam outside las vegas. Our first day of bus-freedom (But not waiting-in-queues-freedom. On our way there the line was about 2 miles long)

Driving to the Grand Canyon. After the last tour nature every night regains her power over the street.

We drove a long way, but when we got there, the fake guy told us it was closed.

Oh my! A real on the road trip! With even the road that goes far far in perspective and the curves between the mountains!

A ghost town: after the goldmines closed, what's left is a bunch of cement buildings, a saloon and a lot of rubbish.

Eventually we would stop and take a walk in the desert just to get the feel of it.

Oh look how nice a flower in the desert. The flower of patriotism also blooms in the american country (the sign says:"U.S:Army: become twice the person in half the time")

An Iceland-like side of California

The beloved Joshua tree. They are threatened by global warming before even deciding if they are trees or cacti.

There are parts of California that live under a permanent shroud of fog and uncertainty.

Us at the giant sequoias. Some are dead some are alive.
+10% points in the visitor contest at the first that spots Yvonne in one of the pics.

A beautiful beach (by the way it closes at sunset) and Yvonne's disappointment when she found out that it wasn't a cave.

Great dad!!!!! well done!!!! Unfortunatly you have already monopolised 40% of the blog viewings in January, (well done for that too) so we will mentally add your 10%, but I dont think you need it. Maybe now it is time to go back to work ;oP
Love you, and keep checking up on us, and say hi to the girls

Hahahahaha...you have to give the car rental company kudos for supplying 2 extreme leftist borderline communist yougsters, hell bent on saving the world, a gasoline guzzling mean machine streamlined americanized sports vehicle! Well done :) Nice pictures by the way. Hope you're keeping to the speed limit, you don't wanna get in trouble with the local redneck patrol. Pz out.
