was a comment... then got too long

I have such a sweet sister!!! Actually I like to believe that I took it quite well, I even tried to explain to the rasta manager as we left how nice it might be to find a smily mandarine, while he firmly escorted me off the premesis... I even managed a nice wave and a smile to my co-workers as I left. Now I am afraid to even show my face there to pick up pietro, but they will never know that. Oh big news, the car is fixed, thank the good lord mandarine and it wasnt the very expensive computer, only the mildly less expensive FDI (i think) modulator, that apparently is between the computer and the cogs (that then go onto the spark plugs (proud dad???!!!!)), that needed fixing. But anyway, long story short, after only one night in a very small and inexpensive accomodation we are back to our beautiful, smaller, smellier and mouse infected (bastard has started chewing my books!!!!!! car seats I can understand, toilet paper I can tolorate... but my BOOKS!!!!!! the bastard will DIE!!!!) baby. I am very happy and have been talking to it quite a lot today (as pietro is at work and Im getting a bit lonely).
but now I have you guys to chat too...
I was reading the TIMES magazine (I was overjoyed to find it in the local newsagent who has NOTHING but local newspapers, the "Australian" (very right wing) and gossip mags) and now am very well informed on the whole world!!! no, but seriously there was an article on Iceland!!!! can you believe we are important enough to be in a magazine that goes world wide... OK it was about Icelands economy crashing and burning (Im not sure I should get an Icelandic loan for uni... what do you think?) but still it was cool!!!

Anyway, gonna say goodbye for now, hopefully we will be leaving mundubbera in 2 days time, so next update might even be in new zealand (4 degrees and 88% humidity!!!!!!!!!!! why ever did I let pietro talk me into going there!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)

Love to you all, keep up the great comments, we love them all!!!

Yvonne

Icelandic economy is always crashing but has never actually burned! I don´t even know what that means, maybe it means that our loan applications will burn and we will all be free, cause God only knows that that´s all we Icelanders have, loans, loans and more loans. Who cares if it all crashes anyway? Well, not me. I can always work, eat, bicycle and swim. And we will always eat and can possibly get ourselves a mouse-infested car to live in, it seems fun when you write about it....

Please try to keep us posted from NZ, at least with an sms or something.

lots of love
