Firstly I think the time has come to move on from political issues... I mean, we are already bannd in china... who knows, the way things are going, we might be banned in italy next!!!! and that would be tragic!!!
So we are getting ready to move on from our temporary home of sydney, NSW and venture forth into the unknown desert that really defines this fine country!!!! In order to do that me and pietro have recently bought a car: a beautiful Holden commodor, from 1991, 318,000km (at last count, but the km, thingy is broken... so who knows!!!). Now I know you are all thinking "are you Crazy!!!!!! going into the desert in a shitty 16 year old car that has done more miles than all our cars put together!!!!" and I understand your doubts but: its big, so me and pietro can both sleep in the back of it (saving lots of money on hostels, and if we ever need it we also have a tent, just in case), it was really cheap, only 777 euros!!!!!! and last of all.... we also got 3 fishing rods with the car!!!!!! How cool!!!! we are going to live like all the carachters in fantasy books (apart from the horses and walking) we will roam around, living off the fish we catch in the streams and bays, and grilling it over an open fire (I think open fires may be illegal here, but thats besides the point!!!) neither me or pietro have ever done fishing in our lives, but you know what they say, necessity is the mother of ...ummm, ingenuity? I think, anyway, its not hard you just sit there and wait... right? ;oP
No, but seriously, family, I took the car to a trusted mechanic this morning, and he is giving it a quick check over (the other day a red flashing on the dashboard informed us that the engine needed urgent looking at!!!!!!!!!!!! not good!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and if there is anything potentially lethal, he will fix it (providing it doesnt cost more that the car did originally). The mechanic also very kindly showed me how to change all the fluids everywhere under the hood......... I never realised there were that many, after I while I didnt know whether I was supposed to put oil, water, engine cooler, friggin banana splits or what!!!!! so I gave up :os
We are leaving tomorrow morning (if we are able to do all our last second everything... I learnt very earnestly everything my mum taught me!!!), but before leaving we experienced ANZAC day, the 25th of april, which celebrates all the men that lost their lives during a bad attack on turkey in WWI, and in order to do this auzzies go to dawn service at about 5am and then (most, but not all) very respectfully start drinking!!!!!!!!!! and dont stop until the next day!!!!! When asked why they drink non stop for one day to celebrate the dead, they promptly reply "well, its cozzzzz thass whah they wudd be doin if they was still alive see!!!!!" An interesting way of looking at it... but probably pretty close to the truth!!!
I am also sorry to say that our camera has been stolen, so I'm afraid you wont see any pictures of our 2 week home in redfern... the notoriusly dangerous suburb of sydney, that is pleasantly close to the city center and yet surprisingly cheap!!!! perfect for 2 travellers!!!! but due to your many much appreciated donations I am pleased to say that we cannot stand the thought of you not sharing australia with us so we are going to buy another one (obviuosly not as stunning and amazingly beautiful as the first, but hopefully pretty good).
And to say farewell to the beautiful people of sydney that have made us feel so welcome we are tonight going out for a drink and a gamble at the local bar where they have CRAB RACING tonight!!! (dunno, we will let you know in the next blog I'm sure). but to all those who wish to come here I pray for you that you do, Sydney is Beautiful (although somewhat expensive) and full of life, and australians are as wonderful a people as I have ever met!!!
So wish us luck, and we'll write again when we reach some internet somewhere. thank you sydneyans for everything!!!!!!!!!!
xxxxxyvonnexxxxx
(pietro agrees with everything except the fish catching, but that is just coz he is an unbeliever)

Have you seen that film (based on a true story by the way) about those kids who go for a drive in the desert in Australia and their car breaks down and this seemingly nice guy offers to tow them to his farm in the middle of nowhere to fix their car and when they get there he drugs them and proceeds to torture and kill them all one by one??? If you think about it what else have you really got to do, when you're fat, ugly and alone in the searing desert heat in the middle of bloody nowhere, than go on a manic killing spree! It would drive the best of us bonkers. So, in short: Beware of scary white psycho farmers in the desert!
Other than that, enjoy your trip my lovelys :)
It's sad to see you both go, but we'll definitely catch up with you in the near future.
Here's a video from last night that I sneakily filmed :). I hope you enjoy it because as I was about to film Danny in the bathroom some random guy from the pub walked in and it looked like I was trying to photograph a porno.
Sorry for the quality, had issues on the computer!

This'll surprise you - a message from Putney!
Don't worry about "Wolf Creek", but when you go outback, do take gallons of water, file a travel plan and ETA. Then let us know you've arrived so we don't send out Polair unnecessarily. Oh, and watch out for crocodiles. They just love tasty tourists.
It's been great having your company. Keep in touch. Safe journey...
Are you sure will you find fishes in the desert?!?
I hope that for you.
Ciao bbelli!
